No! AnnotateFast works without any signup. All your annotations are saved locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it.
How do I get started?
Simply take a screenshot (Win+Shift+S on Windows, Cmd+Shift+4 on Mac), then press Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V) on the editor page to paste it. You can also drag and drop images or use the file picker.
Can I share my annotated screenshots?
Yes! You can download as PNG/JPG, copy to clipboard, or generate shareable links. Shareable links never expire and contain your full annotation data embedded in the URL. No server hosting required!
What annotation tools are available?
We offer 11 annotation tools: arrows, rectangles, circles, text, callouts, highlights, freehand pen, numbered markers, lines, blur, and stamps. All tools support color customization, opacity, and stroke width adjustments. Use keyboard shortcuts (V, A, R, C, T, etc.) for quick access.
