Privacy

Short version: your screenshots stay on your device. There are no accounts, no database and no cookies set by AnnotateFast.

Images

When you paste, drop or choose an image, it is decoded and drawn on a canvas inside your browser tab. All annotation, blurring, cropping and exporting happen there. Images are never uploaded to our servers.

Stored in your browser

• Editor preferences (colour, size, outline, export format, frame settings) in localStorage, so the editor opens the way you left it.
• Bug report template fields in localStorage, so a half-written report survives a refresh.
• The annotated screenshot you send to the bug report writer in sessionStorage, which the browser deletes when you close the tab.

The AI bug report writer

Only when you click “Write my bug report”, your notes, the environment line and (if you tick the box) a reduced copy of your annotated screenshot are sent to our server and passed through Vercel AI Gateway to an OpenAI model to write the report. We don’t store the content. Short-lived technical logs (such as errors) may be kept by our hosting provider, Vercel. Don’t include passwords or tokens.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and doesn’t track you across sites.
