When to highlight, box or spotlight
- Highlight text you want read: a wrong price, an error message, a label with a typo.
- Box (R) a component you want looked at: a button, a card, a chart.
- Spotlight a region on a crowded dashboard, so the reader doesn’t have to hunt.
- Yellow is the conventional highlighter colour and works best on white UI. On dark mode, try magenta or green.
- Stick to one highlight colour per image unless colours carry meaning you explain in the ticket.

How do I highlight text in a screenshot?
Load the screenshot, choose the Highlighter (H) and yellow, then drag a box across the words. It blends in multiply mode, so the text stays sharp underneath.
What does Spotlight do?
Spotlight dims the whole image except the rectangle you draw, so one area stands out without covering anything.
Can I highlight on my phone?
Yes. The editor supports touch: tap Choose image, pick the Highlighter and drag with your finger.
Can I remove a highlight?
Press Undo (Ctrl+Z), or select it with the Select tool and press Delete.
