- Capture at 2× (Retina) resolution so text stays crisp when the framed image is scaled down.
- Padding around 6–8% of the screenshot width reads balanced; the default is 64 px on a 1,000 px image and scales with size.
- Match the background to where it’s going: a gradient for social posts, light grey for docs, graphite for dark-themed sites.
- Transparent background + shadow gives a floating cut-out for slides.
- Crop first. A beautified full-screen capture is still a full-screen capture.
